We operate solely for community benefit and invest back into the same communities in which our services are delivered.We are currently searching for an HSW Governance and Assurance Manager to collaborate closely with our Group Manager - Health, Safety & Wellbeing, genU Executive, managers, and the entire HSW team.In this role, you'll ensure efficient implementation and ongoing enhancement of safety management systems. Your expertise integrates Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategies, fostering improved safety performance. Supporting the Group Manager, you'll champion a safe, sustainable work environment where physical and psychosocial risks are controlled, ensuring genU's clients and workers are 'All Safe, All the Time'.This is a full-time ongoing role with the capacity to be based anywhere in Australia where genU operates.Flexible working arrangements available, with no defined requirements for working in an office, however the role will require regional travel!About YouOur ideal HSW Governance and Assurance Manager will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Highly motivated and experienced in leading, guiding and supporting leaders and team members to build a “safety first” culture.
  • Have demonstrated ability to develop and embed an HSW Management System within a complex, multi-site organisation.
  • Have the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Create meaningful reports that facilitate and support informed decision making.
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth and State Disability Acts, Aged Care Acts, Occupational Health & Safety Act, as well as contractual obligations and requirements for service providers.
  • Experience in conducting formal HSW audits, gap assessments, and ensuring action plans are executed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in the disability sector is desirable.
The following are essential:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Technology or Business discipline and/or experience in a similar Management role for 5+ years.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion or willingness to obtain.
  • Lead auditor and ICAM incident investigation lead investigator recognition is highly desirable.
