The CompanyOur client is an Australian Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage company, with facilities across Australia and New Zealand.The brand continues to be able to offer its customers the best in air, sea, rail and land transportation services by fostering and forging relationships with the best carrier partners while constantly upholding their commitment to be able to cater for all of its customers freight needs.The PositionThis company has a rare opportunity to joint their ranks in a Freight Import Operator role working in the Brisbane Airport offices.This role, reporting to the Import Operations and Transport Manager, will be working with all import freight managed by this company that is coming into Australia, from prior to the ETD to after the ETA. On an average day you will be:

Lodge Cargo Reports and Underbonds
Liaise with clients, brokers and transport companies pending ETA
Payment of invoices
Update customer accounts on CRM

The PackageAlongside full product and job training given by both my client and their customer covering both the logistics and operational parts of the role, the package on offer for the successful candidate is up to $80,000 per year, plus superannuation.The CandidateTo be considered for this role it is essential that the candidate has experience in importing and exporting regulations as well as booking interstate freight, good verbal and written communication is also required. Other attributes that would be highly desired by my client are:

An understanding of Incoterms®
Ability to work autonomously and with within a team
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of CargoWise, 1-Stop and ICS Customs Portal
2 years' experience in a similar role
