We are on the lookout for an experienced and driven Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to join our team here at Horder Healthcare.Leading the Procurement and Supplies team, as well as supporting the wider organisation with all procurement and supply chain aspects, this pivotal role within Horder Healthcare requires a strategic and innovative mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of optimising procurement processes and supply chain management to drive organisational success.Alongside being the key lead in overseeing the procurement processes and strategies in alignment with the company's objectives and policies, you will also manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and tenders, lead on all project management aspects, drive cost-saving initiatives and lead by example a knowledgeable and skilled Procurement and Supplies team.Based from both The Horder Centre, Crowborough and The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead, with some further travel to our coastal sites required, this is a full-time, fixed-term contract role, offering a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.About you:
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Prior project management experience, with examples of having thought outside of the box to create dynamic and innovative ways of working.
  • Prior people management experience.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain management software/tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Prior experience within a similar role, with a passion to innovate and deliver. Excellent communication skills, to help build those all-important and respected relationships with wider teams, and patients.
  • Proactive and forward thinking, with a passion for continued learning.
