- Manage functionally a multi-disciplinary project team (R&D, IP, Operations, etc.…) to demonstrate a proof of concept for new products or services.
- Identify required activities, build the project scoping, define the main milestones.
- Commit on project schedule and expected deliverables.
- Pilot the execution of the project, monitor the gap vs the commitment.
- Lead the definition and validation plans of claims for the innovations.
- Coordinate the deliverables released at the end of the project assessing the maturity level of the concepts (consumer desirability, commercial viability, technical feasibility).
- Participate in innovation loops in order to provide new ideas (products & services).
- Develop knowledge on products (internal & from competition), markets and clients (direct and indirect) for the Presbyopia and Near Vision Category.
- Propose and implement a methodology of innovation (quick & dirty, test & learn,) in order to move from an idea to a concept.
- Ensure communication and reporting of the stage progress in the dedicated committee (monthly review, steering committees) and the potential alerts (key facts, gaps…).
- Science and/or business discipline with at least 5 years’ experience directly related to products and/or services is required.
- Project management experience required.
- Ability to drive processes within a highly matrixed organization and work in an environment with a high level of ambiguity.
- Able to work and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and from a wide and complex array of disciplines at all levels of the company, including R&D, Marketing, Key Accounts, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply chain, Purchasing, Customer Service, Legal, etc.
- Able to organize and synthesize thoughts to make clear and convincing presentations to management.
- Excellent level of English; French is a plus.
