  • Manage all warehouse daily operations from inbound to order dispatch to customers
  • Optimise DC space utilization
  • Optimise labour productivity
  • Manage all Logistics Service Providers used in AU & NZ (forwarders, external storage, cleaning and maintenance services, …)
Procedures and Practices:
  • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOP) and process disciplines are being adhered to throughout the warehouse, to meet agreed customer service levels with respect to delivery rate, turnaround times and accuracy.
  • Help develop and implement operational improvement plans for the WH operations to deliver cost and efficiency benefits.
  • Coordinate with planning, marketing and sales in relation to volume forecasts for the WH operations, planned sales promotions, introduction of new products or any major activities and projects that affect the warehouse.
  • In conjunction with key stakeholders, develop and implement appropriate plans to continuously align the WH and logistics processes with enhanced systems.
  • Proactively lead a safety culture that includes site compliance to all legislative and company safety requirements.
Forecasting and Planning:
  • Budget preparation for all warehouse and distribution operations in AU & NZ
  • Ensure all expenses are controlled against budget.
  • Monthly DCS and MMR reporting to global DNO team
Supplier management:
  • Review rates and services provided by transport companies/freight forwarders and other related vendors to the business and help select those which provide best service at most economical rates.
  • In conjunction with Human Resources, be involved in negotiations with trade unions, and liaison with employment organisations.
People Leadership/Other:
  • Act as a Role Model and help to build a positive and proactive culture
  • Lead and manage the Distribution Center team, ensuring strong communication of roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Ensure the Triumph Performance Management System is fully embraced within the department facilitating career development for all direct reports.
  • Ensure all warehouse staff are trained to level 3 of Warehousing or higher, ensuring ongoing training and development needs are met.
  • Implement and foster development plans to ensure available backup for all key positions in the warehouse (Inbound, Outbound, Transport, Returns, Stock Management)
  • Serve on planning, project, and policy making teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Committee (WHSC) and implement all required processes and procedures
Your ideal profile:
  • Preferred formal qualification in Logistics Management, Materials Management or equivalent level of learning through job experience.
  • Preferred completion of approved Occupational Health and Safety qualification
  • Blue card [High Risk Work]
  • Full clean driving licence
  • 5-7 experience in Distribution and Warehousing Management.
  • Strong 'hands on' warehousing and logistics experience preferably with a fashion or consumer goods background.
  • Experience with quality management/benchmarking approaches to achieve operational improvement and process re-engineering to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Excellent negotiator and influencer, problem solver
  • Proficient written and verbal English
  • SAP and BW experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • The ability to interact with staff and customers from all levels within organisations and backgrounds.
  • Ability to handle pressure.
