Job Description:We are looking for a highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic young talent to strengthen the Risk Capital team. The team is responsible of producing, analyzing and reporting the capital results from SCOR's internal model for Group and local entities. During your traineeship, you will be assigned to specific tasks related to the production and analysis of capital results of the Internal Model. In your role as trainee, you will therefore closely cooperate and interact with other departments and by this receive a broad understanding of various processes and projects within a truly global and the 4th largest Rein-surer worldwide. We provide relevant internal trainings and introduction to reinsurance. You develop significant work experience and enhance your network.Responsibilities:
  • This is a 14-months fixed-term contract
  • You dive into the fascinating world of risk modelling reinsurance business worldwide and meaningfully contribute to combining the art and scient of risk to protect societies
  • You are part of an engaged and empowered team and will be working in a wonderful office space in Zurich
  • You support the quarterly and year-end calculation of SCR and risk margin via running SCOR's internal model and performing regular analyses and deep dives
  • You contribute to presentation of key results to both technical and executive committees
Qualifications:
  • Above average University Degree (Master, PhD) in Actuarial Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or similar discipline
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and good knowledge through previous experience with statistical tools and programming languages (preferably Python)
  • Good conceptual and analytical capabilities plus being able to approach tasks consistently, goal-oriented and independently
  • Excellent communication skills and command in English (fluency in either French or German is a plus)
  • Global mind-set, team player attitude and appetite for continuous learning and achievements in an international context
