CONTEXTAs the Group Health & Safety Operations Senior Manager, you will oversee and support Richemont in implementing suitable and sufficient management systems in alignment with the overall Group Security policy and Group Health, Safety and Environment strategy by:
  • Overseeing the governance and compliance of HSE legislation and Group standards
  • Ensuring appropriate governance and control of Health & Safety hazards within the Group framework
  • Providing guidance and support to management and employees on safety and health matters
  • Overseeing and supporting incident response arrangements related to accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses
  • Monitoring the Health & Safety performance of the Group through data trend analyses and compiling subsequent reporting to different hierarchical levels
  • Developing and implementing strategic solutions to continuously improve the performance results
The scope of the role will cover Richemont Operations globally, including:
  • Health & Safety
  • All Richemont entities, staff, and operations
  • Travels within EMEA (20%)
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?H&S Operational Leadership
  • Operationalise the H&S priorities and objectives set by the Group
  • Identify and support H&S operations within the Group - sharing knowledge, best practice and governance requirements (internal and external) where necessary
  • Advise, support, coordinate and animate the operational H&S community (with the Head of HSE) to understand their needs, operations and clarify responsibilities
  • Liaise with other functions as required to support the wider H&S strategy and ensure alignment
  • Ensure that operational H&S responsibilities are communicated, articulated, and fully understood by all stakeholders
  • Lead third party experts to support delivery of projects and provide guidance to technical topics
  • Ensure an overview of H&S costs against budget
H&S project management
  • Support in developing the HSE strategy objectives and action plan and follow up on progress monthly
  • Participate in communicating the Group HSE objectives to the wider community and relevant Group functions as necessary
  • Liaise with the HSE team members and update the Group PSHSE project management documentation monthly
  • Lead H&S projects, as directed by the Group Head of HSE
H&S management system
  • Implement and supervise risk assessments methodology ensuring that risks have been identified, evaluated and correctly mitigated according to the Group strategy and standards
  • Provide guidance to local H&S managers/representatives regarding the implementation of process of the H&S management system and its continuous improvement
  • Oversee and support incident response arrangements related to Health & Safety and develop and implement solutions to improve the performance results as required
  • Support in developing the CAPA (Corrective Actions Preventive Actions) management system for the HSE legal compliance, the HSE assessments and the Fire insurance assessments
  • Support in following up on action progress up to effective completion
  • Participate in on-site assessments as necessary
  • Participate in the annual H&S campaign, manufacturing good practice exchange and other H&S forums as required
  • Participate in the preparation and organisation of the H&S committees and the annual Sustainability report for Health & Safety
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?
  • Degree-level qualification in a related H&S subject, Swiss engineering or expert level is a plus
  • Min 8 years' experience in a similar role, including people management
  • Knowledge of Swiss H&S legislation, knowledge of other European H&S legislation would be a strong plus
  • Experience in auditing techniques is a plus
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues
  • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and other stakeholder groups to take desired action
  • Fluent in English and French, additional languages are an asset
