A dedicated and passionate individual who thrives on seeing students succeed will enjoy this role!Position RequirementsAfter-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 7:00pm) and possibly Saturdays, 9:30am - 2:00pm.Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level.This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location.We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:Education:
  • Enroled in a Bachelor’s degree program or higher, or similar certification in a relevant field
Experience:
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring/coaching
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • French skills are an asset
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
  • Be personable, empathetic, and reliable
  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability and critical thinking
  • Show a willingness to learn and grow
  • Dynamic, energetic and outgoing personality - Learning has to be fun!
Responsibilities (Position Details)You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:
  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Teaching in-person
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type: Part-timeSalary Range: $18 - $20 / hour to startSchedule:
  • Evenings (3:00pm - 7:00pm)
  • Monday to Thursday
  • Saturday availability (9:30am - 2:00pm)
