  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and extensible industry-specific Python algorithms and data transformation jobs for our global clients by using suitable established data processing and data analysis tools.
  • Work on R&D in collaboration with energy product experts and fellow engineers to design and implement customer-centric products that have an impact on the Utilities sector and improve forecasting, costing, and pricing with cutting-edge algorithms.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of robust software by accurately documenting features, performing regular deployments with other engineers, and supporting internal and external users with troubleshooting and fixing defects.
  • Conduct thorough design and code reviews, offering constructive feedback to team members to uphold coding standards and ensure continued quality.
  • Partner with your team members to identify process improvements that help the team work together more efficiently and communicate with other teams better, smoothly managing the fast expansion of the company.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience as a data engineer or software developer in Python, with a solid understanding of the language itself as well as common programming paradigms and data structures.
  • Experience with structured data manipulation using SQL and/or Python packages such as pandas, dask, duckDB, or polars.
  • Familiarity with the Unix shell and Git.
  • Experience with working in agile, with the AWS cloud ecosystem, or with machine learning engineering is a bonus
  • Experience with the utilities sector or a software engineering degree is a bonus
  • You speak English fluently, other European languages are a plus (e.g. Spanish, German…)
