The client is looking for a Field Sales Manager to cover Brussels and the south of Belgium.As a Field Sales Manager, you will have a crucial role in driving a "Best in Class" execution which will eventually lead to sales growth and achieving company targets.The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 10 field sales representatives, developing, and implementing effective sales strategies & build strong relationships with key customers.Reporting directly to the "National Field Sales Manager" and his/her main responsibilities will entail:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets as well qualitative as quantitative targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of field sales representatives to maximize their potential and performance while ensuring their constant development.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the companies in market presence.
  • Identify growth opportunities and possible improvements regarding the organisation.
  • Animating and coordinating monthly and seasonal meetings; contributing to the yearly training.
  • Analysing sales volumes evolution for all sales KPI's on weekly and monthly basis. Decision-making on whether corrective actions are needed to reach targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to detect areas of improvement & take this input into account in the decision-making process.
  • Developing and consolidating commercial relationships with regional directors and shop managers.
  • Play an active role in the interaction between field sales, Key Account management and trade marketing and actively participate in the customer plan elaboration.
  • Active participation in individual customer projects securing best in class implementation in the field.
  • On the job coaching of the representatives by being present on the Field (region: Brussels, Wallonia, Luxembourg)
Field sales management|FMCG
  • Master degree in Economics or Business management
  • 10 years of experience in FMCG sector (Retail) as Key Account Manager or Customer Manager
  • People management experience is a must as you will be required to drive a team of 10 sales representants
  • Passion for Retail market is an advantage
  • Strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate with impact while having strong interpersonal skills
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales target
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
