We are EliaAnd we keep the lights on all over Belgium. As the builder and operator of the high-voltage grid, we ensure that electricity gets where it is needed, from deep in the sea and high in the sky to your home or business. We also make sure the lights stay on, whatever the future may bring. That's why we invest heavily in tomorrow's power grid, in sustainability, and in our over 1,400 dedicated employees.Looking for a top job with a Top Employer? Come and show us your sparkElia is playing a key role in achieving the energy transition. Decarbonisation, decentralisation, internationalisation and digitalisation are confronting us with changes at an unprecedented pace. The high-voltage grid will therefore have to deal with a transformation during which existing assets will be adapted and new infrastructure will have to be built to meet society’s needs for a safe and reliable high-voltage grid. The technologies typically used on our high-voltage grid are also on the cusp of a (r)evolution. Digitalisation in our substations will go beyond simply replacing existing systems one by one. Due to the digitalisation, the engineering, supply chain, off-site testing, commissioning and operational management of Protection, Automation & Control (PAC) systems in our substations will need to be reviewed and will therefore involve new processes, technologies, responsibilities and working methods.
