- Define procurement strategy for his / her respective category in collaboration with stakeholders (technical, business…) and promote within businesses
- Define strategic partners and manage vendor relationship
- Responsible of managing Vendor Directory for his / her category
- Initiate, negotiate, manage and promote vendors' framework agreements at BESIX Group level
- Coordinate and animate buyers' network inside BESIX group for his / her category
- Support Tendering teams by providing vendors and market prices visibility
- Support project execution for BESIX Contracting and Regionals with adapted strategic inputs and negotiation support or responsibility
- Manage vendor performance feedback and adapt BESIX vendor strategy
- Drive a regular market screening to adjust Vendor panel development
- Identify and execute opportunities on price reduction (Tendering & Execution) according to objectives, including group synergies
- Challenge specifications with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and out-of-the box-thinking
- Define procurement strategy for his / her respective category in collaboration with stakeholders (projects, technical, business…) and associated vendor panel, with a yearly spend of €100 millions
- Focus activities and his/her time for 75% on Facades or Exterior finishing and 25% on Interior finishing.
- Support competitiveness with Tendering teams
- Support profitability during project execution
- Responsible for Synergies and cost reduction identification and application within BESIX Group and the procurement community
- Support innovation capture with vendors and promote inside relevant businesses
- Strong focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Master's degree - Engineer is a plus
- Procurement certification / degree is a plus
- 10-year experience in the category (as buyer or technical expert)
- 5 to 10-year experience in supply-chain role
- Business acumen
- Convincing and Influencing
- Professional knowledge of English
- Professional knowledge of Dutch and / or French
- Strategic thinking
- Open and active listening
- Willingness to travel
