- All duties consistent with following our established SOP's to ensure the proper transfer of dairy products from blending to processing, to identified filling system in accordance with the production run schedule.
- Efficient operation of the process equipment to include the high temperature heat exchange systems equipment, rigs, tanks, pumps, product lines, valves, fittings and components.
- Follow all established Product Processing guidelines to ensure product meets our internal Saputo, State and Federal Pasteurized Milk Ordinance requirements.
- Effective communication and coordination with other departments to ensure product is processed and supplied in accordance with our production run schedule, product end of run, and product change-overs.
- Follow all Chart Recording guidelines, ensure accuracy and completion of all required documentation, charts and records. Audit records at the end of each shift.
- Proficiency with computer based software and automated control systems.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Process all product reclaim within defined guidelines.
- Perform equipment CIP/SIP/COP/Sanitation and complete dept. clean-up and general housekeeping as required.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments as necessary.
- Perform all required department environmental controls.
- Follow all established GMP/Food Safety/Allergen policies
- Follow all employee Health and Safety policies.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
- Identify and effectively communicate any out-of-specification product conditions. Follow the established notification protocol.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments.
- Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents.
- Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures.
- Follow all established GMP’s and Food Safety requirements.
- Safe operation of lift truck and material handling equipment.
- Cross-train with other departments.
- Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.
- Comply with federal, state and local dairy food regulations.
- Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
- Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
- Other duties as required by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Minimum of (2)-two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Advanced training with a concentration in dairy science, a plus.
- Strong math skills.
- Strong PC skills, MS Excel, ERP systems, SAP a plus.
- Strong technical skills, ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
- Ability to achieve lift truck certification and safely operate lift trucks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated work history.

- Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
- Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures.
- Physical lifting up to 40-lbs frequently throughout the shift. Lift 50+ lbs with assistance.
- Good visual acuity with the ability to see and differentiate color.
- Shift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Our equipment operators are assigned to a team on a shift, 24/7 operation to support manufacturing. This can either be days, swing or night shift and weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits.
