- Overall responsibility of the project engineering in service projects, for example modernizations of propulsion control system or electric energy storage system
- System engineering including functional descriptions, test procedures and other documentation
- Coordinating of tasks of hardware engineer and software engineer, procurement, and docking planning with project manager
- Customer communication of project technical matters
- Organizing society class approval of projects and leading factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Supporting sales, evaluating technical scope of supply
- Supporting continuous improvement of project, system design, product, and processes
- Supporting and ensuring successful results in installation, commissioning, harbor acceptance testing (HAT), sea trial testing (SAT), and warranty claim closingYour background:
- Strong experience in working with medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems including generators, motors, drives, transformers, switchboards or battery systems
- Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools
- Understanding and knowledge of PLC control systems
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, preferably at least five years of relevant experience
- Experience in marine industry and systems is an advantage
- Commissioning, service, and other on-site experience is an advantage
- Experience of ABB products such as low and medium voltage drives, switchboards, propulsion control system (PCS), power and energy management systems (PEMS), and Onboard DC Grid (ODCG) is an advantage
- A positive attitude and good communication skills to quickly resolve project related activities and issues
- Good spoken and written communication skills in English is mandatory, Finnish is an advantage.
- Ability and willingness to travel approx. 30 days per year typically but not limited in United States and EuropeMore about us:
