The OpportunityThis position offers the chance to make a significant impact within a large, innovative food and beverage business by optimising manufacturing processes and enhancing operational efficiency across the organisation.Youu0027ll not only support manufacturing automation but also contribute to the broader business systems, ensuring comprehensive visibility and integration.Ultimately, you’ll be bringing your skills to a business that will provide you with interesting daily responsibilities and long term growth opportunities.The RoleIn this critical position within our clientu0027s automation team, you will:
  • Support the development and maintain cutting edge digital manufacturing systems, software’s and control strategies including network infrastructure.
  • Guarantee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plantu0027s control systems, aligning with both immediate and long-term objectives.
  • Foster strong collaborations with supply chain and quality departments to centralise and streamline manufacturing information effectively.
  • Lead projects focused on system and controls improvements, championing innovation to boost productivity and quality standards.
  • Support and maintain computer equipment and software related to engineering, while ensuring the quality of engineering network and data acquisition systems.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will likely have:
  • Experience in a high speed manufacturing facility.
  • PLC programming abilities, ideally working with Siemens and Allen Bradley.
  • SCADA & HMI maintenance experience.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and documenting advanced manufacturing processes and control systems.
  • Detail driven person who is organised and ensures information is recorded accurately.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet networking, along with proficiency in managing engineering-related computer equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to easily discuss technical information with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferably, a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Instrumentation.
