- Provide quality clinical nursing services to patients under the direction of the Doctor.
- Nursing services to be carried out in line with individual scope of practice and assessed competency, as per the competency index below.
- Assist the Centre to meet the relevant standards and legislative requirements in infection prevention and control, equipment maintenance, sterilisation, and cold chain management.
- Work as a collaborative member of the practice team; establishing good working relationships with Nurses, the Practice Manager and Centre Doctors.
- Practice within the nursing policies and procedures framework, in order to provide safe, quality nursing care.
- Ensure nursing documentation in medical records thoroughly reflects all nursing interventions and communication.
- Report all incidents and potential hazards immediately.
- Knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), accreditation standards, nursing standards, legislative regulations & primary care initiatives.
- Previous experience in a general practice environment.
- Familiar with recall and reminder systems and clinical software systems.
- Familiar with principles of immunisation.
- Current Working with Venerable People (WWVP).
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Completion of CPR training within last 2 years.
- Fully Immunised for Covid-19.
- Immunisation History (Vaccination Record Card for HCW).
