  • Food handling certificate.
  • Minimum of 2-3 previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role.
  • Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is beneficial.
  • High level of English essential, Spanish a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types.
  • Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
  • Computer skills an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • A team player, eager to learn and grow within our prestigious establishment.
Main responsabilities and tasks
  • Prepare/setup operations according to criteria.
  • To follow ordering protocol.
  • Control and preservation of stock.
  • Implement HACCP and product control in the various sections.
  • To be innovative and consistent in quality control.
  • Effective communication/work with the students and instructors.
  • Provide feedback and support to the instructors concerning student evolvement.
  • Making recommendations on food and wine pairings.
  • Provide impeccable service to guests, ensuring their dining experience meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Knowledgeably present menu items, assisting guests with recommendations and accommodating special dietary requirements.
  • Manage table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and tact, resolving any issues promptly to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive working environment, embracing and promoting our establishment's values.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, with a positive and professional attitude.
