- Food handling certificate.
- Minimum of 2-3 previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role.
- Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is beneficial.
- High level of English essential, Spanish a plus.
- Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types.
- Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
- Computer skills an advantage.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
- A team player, eager to learn and grow within our prestigious establishment.
- Prepare/setup operations according to criteria.
- To follow ordering protocol.
- Control and preservation of stock.
- Implement HACCP and product control in the various sections.
- To be innovative and consistent in quality control.
- Effective communication/work with the students and instructors.
- Provide feedback and support to the instructors concerning student evolvement.
- Making recommendations on food and wine pairings.
- Provide impeccable service to guests, ensuring their dining experience meets and exceeds expectations.
- Knowledgeably present menu items, assisting guests with recommendations and accommodating special dietary requirements.
- Manage table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and tact, resolving any issues promptly to ensure their satisfaction.
- Contribute to a positive and productive working environment, embracing and promoting our establishment's values.
- The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, with a positive and professional attitude.
