- Supervise and mentor our fund accounting team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and implement best practices.
- Oversee fund administration processes, including transfer agency matters, NAV calculations, financial reporting, compliance monitoring, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the accounting and reporting output coming from our Spanish office addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and service delivery.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices in fund administration and financial services.
- Assess operational risks within fund administration processes and implement measures to mitigate risks effectively, ensuring the integrity and security of client assets and data.
- Prepare and present regular reports on departmental performance, project status, key metrics, and trends to senior management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund administration, audit, accounting and/or financial controlling, with a strong understanding of (fund) accounting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in project management, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects within the financial services industry.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including accounting softwares such as Odoo and Google suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
- English: fluent level (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of (Luxembourg) fund industry regulations (e.g., UCITS, AIFMD) and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Spanish and Catalan would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA) preferred.
