- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience managing a team of at least 40 people in an FMCG environment
- Previous experience with Roadshow and MixTelematics will be advantageous
- Must have a good understanding of the following: Fleet utilisation, fuel usage and consumption, planning loads in a cost-effective way
- Above average proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Strong administrative skills and must be able to prepare and present daily/monthly distribution reports with root causes and action plans
- Must be able to work shifts
- Effective interpersonal and communicational skills
- Assertive and punctual
- Independent, self-motivated and mature person
- Focused on detail and accuracy
- Experience with outsourcing transporters would be an advantage.

- Ensure all Daily / Weekly / Monthly Deadlines are met
- Management and reconciliation of Diesel Usage and Calculation
- Manage Traffic Fines and recover cost from responsible parties
- Manage E-Toll / Bankfin Reconciliations
- Working with Electronic Reports from outside suppliers
- Briefing and debriefing of drivers
- Co-ordinate and management tracker and control systems
- Manage and ensure extended life of trucks.
- Track & Control Budget vs Actual
- Monitor Vehicle Kilometers including Service Plans with Suppliers
- Keep accurate records of all Drivers Licenses + PDP
- Ensure constant communication with weighbridge staff and drivers
- Vehicle inspections and repair arrangements
- Ensure reporting of late or non-deliveries
- All reporting must be done timeously.
- Ensure that rucks leave site on time!
- Ensure that tracking is done on both Company owned and outsourced vehicles (DRM & Roadshow)
- Request official purchase orders in accordance with company policy for all purchases within the department!
