We aim to continue building our truly inclusive culture - come and join us!This opportunity is to work in our offices in San Sebastian, Spain.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the budget allocated to the project, ensuring that expenditures are aligned with grant restrictions and regulations.Monitoring and financially controlling research projects and documentation analysis. Evaluate the conditions and requirements of R&D&I grants to understand the associated financial and documentary obligations.Prepare detailed reports justifying project expenditures.Coordinate the closing of grants, ensuring timely submission of required final documentation and clearance of accounts.Identify and assess potential financial risks associated with the project and arrange for project remediation if necessary.Ensure that all transactions and expenditures are in compliance with regulations and standards set by funding entities and regulatory bodies.Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial and documentary information, identifying potential problems and proposing solutions.Work closely with the technical and research teams to gather the necessary information for financial justification. Collaboration and support to economic consultants in the justification of projects at both administrative and economic levels.Coordinating with partners and collaborators of the project, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.Prepare periodic financial reports summarising the financial status of the project.Supporting the transfer and exploitation of results, including intellectual property protection and commercialization.Organising training and capacity building for the research team on project management and funding topics.Required Qualifications:3-4 years of experience in a similar position.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.Proven experience working in economic consulting on R&D&I projects or similar.Proven experience in project management from financial perspective.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Expert MS Office skills and ability to manipulate large data sets.Fluent in English.Preferred Qualifications:Experience using applications such as CDTI, Gobierno Vasco, Funding and Tenders and other public organisations.Perks & BenefitsIndefinite contract.Equal pay guaranteed.Variable performance bonus.Signing bonus.Relocation package (if applicable).Opportunity to be part of the phantom shares programme.Private health insurance.Eligibility for educational budget according to internal policy.Hybrid opportunity.Flexible working hours.Language classes and discounted lunch optionsWorking in a high paced environment, working on cutting edge technologies.Career plan.
