Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionRoche diagnostics has a broad portfolio across six customer areas that include our widely-used molecular, pathology, point-of-care and core solutions in conjunction with our provider insights and lab insights information solutions.The Project Management team works as part of the Portfolio and Project Management function to help each customer area within DIA track and manage their portfolio from a strategic vantage point.As part of the Project Management Chapter, the Global Project Manager (GPM) plays a key role in optimized product delivery, accountable for all project management aspects of various projects from simple to complex in nature. This includes the ability to act in a waterfall as well as an agile setting depending on the circumstances and the need of the business.Who you areTakes project/product from the original concept through completion.Develops and directs detailed scope descriptions, work plans, schedules, project estimates, spending, resource plans, and status reports.Conducts project/ART meetings and is responsible for the definition and implementation of project risk mitigating measures.Reports project goals (e.g, KPIs/OKRs) to enable teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.Recommends and takes action to analyze and find solutions to problems. Translates and drives projects into products and enables the organization to use energy and time effectively and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesOrchestrates and leads SAFe practices, guides the Agile Release Train (ART) through strategic alignment and PI planning, ensures successful PI execution, coaches ART roles, optimizes flow by establishing pull systems, and relentlessly improves through problem-solving workshops and continuous refinement of technical and business practices to achieve operational excellence on a global scaleCollaborates with the Value Management Office (VMO), PPM chapters, Network Leads and Functional Partners to ensure information synergies and alignment in order to proactively eliminate hurdles that would impede the project/ART deliveryConsistently executes project management processes including guiding and managing preparation for milestone reviewsFollows established project management best practices in project teams/ARTs and fosters their continuous improvement by sharing learnings and knowledge among the Project Management Chapters to enhance effectiveness and optimized delivery while maintaining a high standard of project management executionIdentifies gaps, potential bottlenecks or delays, challenge assumptions and proposes options to close gaps and get activities back on track while communicating issues proactively to stakeholdersBackgroundMinimum Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or business related fields; higher level degreeExperience with Agile development practices and mindsetPMP Certification as well as SAFe Certification highly preferredMinimum 3 years project management experience in the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry leading complex new, product development and product care projectsExperience in companion diagnostic development, analytical and clinical validations and regulatory submissions or instrument development and program management is a plusDemonstrated effective management of projects or ARTsCapabilitiesStrong problem-solving skills and critical thinking with the ability to synthesize information to identify relevant insights that will advise improvement opportunitiesUnderstanding of how to translate insights and opportunities into meaningful change in an matrixed and decentralized organization such as Roche DiagnosticsBusiness acumen, high-level strategic thinking and strong analytical skillsCommunication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead, influence, negotiate, handle conflict and facilitate group meetingsStrong executive writing / presentation skills, cross-functional collaborationHigh self-confidence, self-motivation, strong critical and analytical thinking skillsLocation:Hybrid model, Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona)Are you ready to apply?
