This is a varied role with exposure across the business and will suit a "Big 4" trained accountant with minimum 1-2 years' experience in industry.About the Position
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for month-end closing of management entities - posting of journal entries and performing reconciliations.
- Assist in financial statement preparation and guiding local audits to completion.
- Assist with preparation of VAT filings and other indirect tax matters.
- Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and continued monitoring & review of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances to regional and senior management.
- Interaction with operations, legal, and tax departments as well as local administrator.
- Assistance with Finance projects and process improvements.
- Assist preparation of internal management reporting, capital and liquidity stress tests, and other local regulatory filings and surveys.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) trained in a “big four” accounting firm.
- 1-2 years of industry experience, preferably working in a Financial Services firm.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and UK regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement.
