The facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings, with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones. This enables people with diabetes to live the best and fullest lives they can.At Abbott in Kilkenny, you can shape your career as you help shape the future of healthcare.This is how you can make a difference at Abbott:As an Operations Quality Engineer you will Analyse quality standards for components, materials or services. Apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures that ensure that quality standards are met. Provide Quality expertise and guidance to Manufacturing/Operations, Technical/Product Test and Incoming Materials to support the manufacture and delivery of quality and compliant products on time, in full and cost effectively to meet the needs of the business and customers.This is a shift based role on 4 cycle shift.Key ResponsibilitiesSpearhead development and maintenance of Quality System procedures.Ensuring the site delivers safe and effective products that meet customer needs whilst maintaining compliance.Monitor and maintain the quality and compliance status of associated quality records.Responsible for identifying and raising Quality / Compliance issues, reviewing Exception Reports (ERs) and confirming Corrections and Corrective Actions.Present and communicate status, report metrics, identify trends potential issues, improvement initiatives, as applicable.Identify and raise Quality / Compliance issues, reviewing Exception Reports (ERs) and confirming Corrections and Corrective Actions.Ensure audit readiness in functional area.Identify projects to enhance and promote the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality system and product quality.Support Operations to make Quality / Compliance decisions on product during processing, manufacturing, testing, monitoring and packaging.Coach and develop junior technicians and engineers.Process SME in multiple quality systems.Supervising and owning UPE events.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum NFQ Level 7 Qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing qualificationMinimum 4 years in a Manufacturing / Science or Engineering environmentGMP/GDP experienceISO 13485 experienceYellow belt qualification desired.Process Subject Matter Expert in parts of the quality systemWhat we OfferAttractive compensation package that includes competitive pay, as well as benefits such asFamily health insurance,Excellent pension schemeLife assuranceCareer DevelopmentFantastic new facilityGrowing business plus access to many more benefits.Connect with us at www.abbott.com or https://www.ie.abbott/, on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/company/abbott-/, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Abbott and on Twitter @AbbottNews.Abbott is an equal opportunities employer.The base pay for this position is N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.JOB FAMILY: Operations QualityDIVISION: ADC Diabetes CareLOCATION: Ireland
