FICA ONBOARDING OFFICER - LAW FIRM - EE PreferredAn exciting opportunity exists in the Risk and Compliance Department, reporting to the General Counsel, Head of risk and ComplianceSANDTONR 35 000 - R 42 000 CTC P/M NEGOTIABLEMinimum requirements:Any of the mentioned below:LLB or BCOM, orRisk Certificate / Anti-Money Laundering Certificate / Compliance CertificateAt least 2 years relevant experience; and/orat least 2 years of experience in an AML risk or compliance environmentWord; Powerpoint (advantageous); and Excel (advantageous)The main purpose of the role: new client FICA OnboardingFICA Remediation ProjectsAttend to client reviewManage the outstanding Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhance Due Diligence (EDD) requirements with lawyers and secretaries on a monthly basis and report on sameKey responsibilities:Review, capture and ensure accuracy of client data on the onboarding systemConduct CDD in respect of clientsConduct research in respect of various sources (eg CIPC, Department of Home Affairs, etc)Conduct EDD in respect of high-risk clientsPrepare EDD templates for high-risk clients and submit same to the Risk Committee for considerationAction the decision of the Risk CommitteeLiaise with lawyers and secretaries to obtain outstanding CDD and EDD informationAttend to daily alerts raised by the onboarding system and action accordinglyAssist with reporting Suspicious Transactions Reports Assist with attending to all other requests for information from the regulatorConduct ad hoc and periodic reviews on existing client populationAnalyse constitutive documents of entity type clients, share registers, shareholder agreements, trust deeds, partnership agreements, etcAssist with the development and maintenance of the Firm's internal screening listEnsure that all onboarding and reviews comply with the Firm's CDD and EDD requirementsAssist with induction training for secretaries in respect of the system and onboarding requirementsAttend to any other administrative and compliance-related tasks assigned by the Compliance Risk Manager and HODGood presentation skillsAbility to maintain constructive working relationshipsAttention to detailGood time management and problem-solving skills and able to work under pressureStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Strong team playerWilling to learnPlease note that this position is 100% office based onlyhttps://dantesa.co.za/jobs-online/
