- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: The IT landscape is constantly evolving, so a willingness to adapt to new technologies, learn new skills, and stay updated with industry trends is critical for success in desktop support roles.
- Proficiency in operating systems: Windows, MacOS, Linux.
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
- Remote desktop support tools and techniques.
- Basic scripting or automation skills can be advantageous.
- 5 + Years practical in-service delivery; desktop support; generalist. Basic Server Support
