Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Previous design and/or casting experience
Extensive Catia V5 experienceOperational:
Supplying toolroom with accurate information, which includes drawings and CNC programs
Modeling of new wheels as 3D solid models using CAD packages such as Pro/Engineer and Catia V5
Ensuring that the final wheel conforms to customer styling and castability requirements
Creating tool paths from the 3D solid model for the manufacturing of electrodes and for high speed milling if required
Liaising with the foundry on the back of spoke metal saver design and as far as the castability of the wheel is concernedAdministrative:
Creating and maintaining quality documents such as:
Design review documentation and minutes of meetings
Design FMEA documentation and minutes of meetings
Addressing complaints and resolving problemsAbility to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
