As team members, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges across different models and sections of the airplane.We are seeking talented, detail-oriented, and collaborative Structural Analysis Engineers who are excited about encountering diverse airplane models and solving challenges. In this role, you'll quickly address repairs for in-service aircraft, working closely with other structures teams within Customer Support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in developing repairs, facilitating communication across various teams within and outside of Boeing, providing mentorship to fellow engineers, and spearheading process improvements to deliver exceptional customer support.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Experienced and Senior Structural Analysis Engineers.This position requires flexibility in work hours. Generally, the work schedule consists of 7 days on and 7 days off, with shifts typically being 12AM to 12PM or 12PM to 12AM.Position Responsibilities:Develops structural repairs on all Boeing and MD series modelsConduct static and fatigue analyses for primary and secondary structuresCollaborates with customers via verbal and written communicationsCommunicates with Boeing and customer executive leadershipPerforms review of customer requests and determine the best avenue for resolutionProvide repair solutions and approval forms to customersCollaborates with multiple Boeing teams to develop repair solutionsReviews outgoing customer messages to ensure content and qualityInitiates proactive repair solutions across the Boeing fleetAnalyzes and develops substantiation packages for repairs and/or fly-on limitsConducts research of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customerAssesses incoming customer communications to resolve potential fleet safety issuesIdentifies the need for technical trainingHelps customers keep their aircraft flying safely by addressing urgent “Aircraft on Ground” (AOG) issuesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ years of experience working with structural analysis of composite and metal structures3+ years of experience with structural analysis methods and repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques, damage tolerance methods used in maintenance programs)3+ years of experience with aircraft structural design3+ years of experience with structural repairThis position requires 24/7-day operation support.
