- Tertiary qualification: Diploma or Certificate in Procurement
- At least 5 years’ experience at a Senior level in Procurement
- Strong and proven track record of achieving results
- Excellent Computer skills (Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint)
- Exposure to Timber Industry would be highly recommended and beneficial.
- ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) - Sales Forecast from Retail & Bulk
- Stock levels and Strategic minimum stock
- Supplier lead times and minimum order quantities.
- Supplier Development - Securing alternative suppliers for all products.
- Reference checking
- Quality ratings
- Managing samples and specifications.
- Procurement - Order administration
- Minimum order quantities
- Terms
- Deliveries
- Price negotiations - Obtaining mandates from CEO.
- Securing offers from various suppliers.
- Confirming Quality of products.
- Confirming reliability of supplier deliveries and quality of communications.
- Product Development - Collates needs analysis from Retail & Bulk Sales
- Collates product range availability from Suppliers
- New products that have been accepted by Exco, the specs, process and quality standards need to be signed off.
