Reporting to the Freight Manager, the incumbent in this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless movement of products from growers to clients, adhering to standardized procedures and protocols, all while maintaining continuous communication.Key Performance OutputsInteracting with the commercial departmentsInforming customers regarding their allocationsShipment and container tracking to the customerCommunicating with destination agents and customers, as well as dealing with internal, customer and agent queriesFollowing up on destination deliveries and Proof of DeliveriesEnsuring all details on ERP system are correct and maintainedSource destination transport quotes and arrange destination transport if requiredCommunicate with transporter, customer and internal stakeholdersGood understanding of export documentation - accurate checking, liaising with freight forwarders regarding corrections, documents required for destinations being shipped toManage documentation log and follow up with origin agentsMonitor vessel ETD, ATD, ETA and ATA's and followed-up previous week's shipments ATD and ATADistribute load-out summary for previous week's loadingsSign off creditor's invoice after checking against quotes/agreementsCompare and find best rates from service providersRequirements: Qualifications / ExperienceSenior certificate / Grade 12 / MatricSuitable tertiary qualificationMinimum 2 years of work experience in the fruit industry, with a specific focus on sea exports and related documentationFunctional / TechnicalComputer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent Email etiquetteExport systems knowledgeUnderstanding IncotermsExcellent Customer Service SkillsJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryApplication Deadline: 2024/07/30
