Quality Systems and Safety Administrator - BethlehemFull job descriptionImplement as per communicated requirements from the OHSE Practitioner and Quality Assurance Manager, facilitate and maintain integrated systems on site / Implement the Environmental Health and Safety policies, programmes, and procedures in order to achieve and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Maintain and Implement the Quality Assurance programmes in the factory.REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAININGGrade 12National Diploma/ Certificate in NEBOSCH or SAMTRAC or equivalent will be an advantageCertified Risk Assessor or similar professional certification would be an added advantageREQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE2 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a Food/Feed manufacturing environment will be an advantageKEY PERFORMANCE AREASPrepare for external audits and participate in external auditsEnsure conducting and minuting of Food Safety/Level meetingsConduct/Participate/Perform assessments (audits & surveys)Maintain all prescribed certificationsCoordinate all required activities to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental legislationCoordinate all required activities to ensure compliance with the standards and requirements as set out by the insurance providers and investors.Maintain all records (hard and soft copies) for the above-mentioned coordinated activities to prove compliance with legislation, standards, and provided requirements.Assist the OHSE & Risk Manager (OHSE Practitioner) with the development of the system as and when is required, per directives.Maintain Customer Complaints, CPA, Non-Conforming Products, Supplier Complaints and Continuous Improvement objectives. Ensure Root Cause is done correctly, and the corrective and preventive actions are taken where required.Manage Corrective and preventative action plans for all audits and assessmentsImplement and manage pre-requisite programsMaintain and ensure correct utilisation of AIMSMaintain and ensure all factory practices are in line with the prescribed manuals, procedures, and regulations (national, regional, local authorities)Assist staff with documentation maintenanceConduct/Participate/Perform assessments (audits & surveys)Coordinate personnel training in conjunction with site management, Human Resources and Subject CoordinatorsLiaise/Attend meetings with Subject Coordinators and other plant QSSA's on matters relating to systemMaintain and Comply with all Policies and procedures of Feed division Standards, WI, SOP and legal requirementsPrepare for external audits and participate in external auditsManage continuous improvement objectivesMaintain all prescribed certificationsSupport and manage ad hoc laboratory and food safety processes in conjunction with the Operational Nutritionist and factory lab staffMaintain Incident Management system, Objectives and OHSE Incident Management SystemsTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIESExperience with HSE management systemsCrisis/Incident management experience is essentialMS Office SuiteUnderstanding of Production processes in a manufacturing plantKnowledge and or experience in EHS legislation (OHS Act and Regulations, NEMA, COIDA etc), environmental regulations and plant safety procedures.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Good Interpersonal SkillsKnowledge of ISO standards is essentialBEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIESAnalyticalAttentive to DetailProblem SolverTime Management skillsAbility to work under pressure Closing date: 10 May 2024 Please note that correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
