Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with comprehensive knowledge of the Singapore region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring the cost-effectiveness of construction projects. They should possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of local regulations and market conditions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough cost analysis for construction projects including material, labour, and equipment costs. Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on project specifications and drawings. Collaborate with project engineer, supervisor & subcon's to develop and refine project budgets. Monitor project progress and expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality or safety. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local construction practices, regulations, and market trends. Provide timely and comprehensive reports on project costs, variances, and financial forecasts. Participate in project meetings and discussions to provide cost-related insights and recommendations. Support the procurement process by evaluating bids, negotiating prices, and assessing vendor qualifications. Assist in resolving disputes and discrepancies related to project costs and billing. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on projects. Strong proficiency in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and budget management. In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices relevant to Singapore. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information. Proficient in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and cost estimating software. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in calculations and documentation. Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Prior experience in project management or construction management is a plus.
