Our client is a QS company, seeking QS's to join their dynamic team within the Mining field.Title: Quantity Surveyor (Mining industry)Location: Irene (Pretoria, South Africa)Salary: R20 000- R30 000 (depending on experience and qualifications)Duties include but are not limited to:Working on mining and industrial projects such as mining development projects, process plants, roads, infrastructure, etc.1.1 Preparing estimates of construction costs1.2 Measurement of building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts1.3 Drafting Bills of Quantities1.4 Site visits and site measurements1.5 Preparing valuations for issue of interim payment certificates1.6 Assisting with cost management of construction projects1.7 Preparing and concluding final accounts * Complying with basic office rules and procedures

Complying with the procedures laid down by The South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (“SACQSP”)
Attending all in-house seminars and workshops
Obtaining the required computer literacy and skills
Working in conjunction with other staff
Ensuring compliance with the firm's quality management systems, including establishing a full knowledge of the quality and practice manuals.

Requirements:

BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of MS Projects, WinQS and DimX.
Quality and attention to detail must be exceptional.
1 to 5 Years working experience in the mining division.
Management of resources is key to this position.
