The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Executive will play a key role in expanding the company's' market presence, developing new client relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities across the Gauteng region. It is critically important that the successful candidate possesses a proven track record in the warehousing space with an established network and developed client base.Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and lead generation activities.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, key stakeholders, and industry influencers to position the company as a preferred partner.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial prospecting and qualification to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and client services teams to ensure alignment and maximize business opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients, tailored to their specific needs and objectives.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate new business leads.
Qualifications:
  • Preferable Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management role with a minimum of 5 years industry relevant experience in FMCG Sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, negotiation techniques, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset, capable of identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales and marketing tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and pursue business opportunities.
