Consulting/Principal Software Engineer

- Interfacing with other personnel or team members to identify solutions to customer problems
- Develop innovative strategies and processes for ingesting, transforming, and managing data in bulk
- Modify, test and deploy custom B2C policies
- Writing queries, functions, and ETL jobs
- Schedule and coordinate database jobs, monitor progress and completion of all jobs, and take corrective action as needed
- Manage and monitor various data feeds through the system and handle issues as they arise
- Consult on feature design, implementation, and relevant metrics like reliability, completeness, accuracy, and cost
- Perform capacity monitoring, as well as short and long-term capacity planning
- Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to delegate effectively.
- Have experience with Azure and AWS products.
- Have familiarity with RDS, Redis, Lambda, S3, EC2s
- Have experience with programming languages such as Java and Python
- Expertise with various database systems, the development of micro-services, optimization, and industry best practices
- Have experience in partnering with and leading internal and external technology resources to solve business needs.
- Have substantial experience with query languages.
- Have the ability to guide engineers and other team members on features and best practices.
- Have documentation skills for processes and procedures.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience.
