The incumbent will gradually build up experience in the development, coordination, and execution of sustainability advisory projects and support clients in implementing sustainable solution along the value chain. This position is ideal for a self-starter personality, willing to develop into the position of a sustainability consultant.You will be part of the ELEVATE global Advisory team and you will report into ELEVATE Advisory LATAM. You will be supported by our global network and make use of our exclusive EiQ data. In this position, we support you to gradually take more and more responsibility and to work with and learn from your colleagues around the globe.Your projects will be primarily concentrated on private sector clients spanning a variety of sectors, including consumer goods, retail, food/agriculture, and electronics, and cover sustainability topics including human rights, labour and working conditions, and country, commodity, and product risk assessment. You will be part of the LATAM Advisory team and will work with ELEVATE teams across the globe to thrive the fast-growing ESG market.We are looking for individuals who will be motivated by the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of corporate sustainability, that are energized by innovative and challenging environments and that are impact driven.Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of specific tasks to support the design and delivery of projects and client materials to clients, with guidance from more senior staff. Tasks can include:
  • Research, information analysis and synthesis to address clients’ needs.
  • Complete composition of – or partial contribution to – written client deliverables like reports and presentations.
  • Communication with clients and presentation of deliverables to clients.
  • Topics include, but are not limited to, responsible sourcing / ESG strategies, supply chain segmentation, carbon emissions / “Net Zero” policies and initiatives, human rights policies and manuals, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support with product and services research, as directed.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, as directed by Senior Consultants and other Senior staff.
  • Utilize, in a timely and accurate manner, LRQA’s business platforms and processes (CRM, time-keeping software, file-storage and file-sharing, etc.).
  • Develop thought leadership at the organizational level, including by writing blog posts, newsletters, and technical articles, and potentially by speaking at high-level corporate events.
  • Follow training and development plan. Reporting to Associate Director / Senior Consultants to account for above responsibilities.
Requirements and qualifications
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in sustainability and/or responsible sourcing strategy. Professional consulting experience in fields such as business and human rights is also accepted.
  • Knowledge of the sustainability business environment and regulatory trends and standards.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Able to work in Spanish and English; other languages are a plus
  • Ability to understand, interpret and processing quantitative data.
  • Detail-oriented, solutions-oriented, questioning mindset, and problem-solver.
  • Has and applies emotional intelligence and proven team skills. Takes initiative and can work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about social and environmental topics
  • Adept at working virtually and in person – 1:1, team, – with a strong capacity for self-management, self-support, and learning/skills building.
  • Capacity to work across different time zones, i.e., to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours, when required.
  • Ability to respond positively to deadlines and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing work environment.
  • Strong information and data processing skills, the ability to adopt multiple approaches to reasoning, analytical and synthetic thinking, critical thinking and problem solving, attention to detail, and conceptual and systems thinking.
  • Strong organizational skills: self-motivation, time management, planning, prioritizing, flexibility.
  • Continuous learning habit.
