- 5+ years’ experience in similar role or IT field (Preferably in an IT company servicing more than one IT environment)
- Own reliable transport
- IT Tertiary qualification
- MS Qualification
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- VMWare / Hyper V / Office 365 Server experience
- Networking WAN / LAN and Wireless Backups experience
- Advanced Trouble-Shooting experience
- Hardware Installation, Remote Troubleshooting, Remote support experience
- All Elements of day-to-day operations including but not limited to.
- Networks & Networking support including Routers, Firewalls, Switches, WAN, LAN.
- Servers and server support including, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange and any additional services.
- Hypervisor support for VMWare, including Physical HOST and virtual server support.
- Veeam backup and replication support.
- Desktop support (If / when required)
- End Users support.
- Software support.
- 3rd party support for any 3rd party hardware or software.
- Proactive infrastructure monitoring and reporting.
- Ticket system required & AH support for users and systems.
- Alerts will be dealt with and resolved within SLA.
- Reporting will be provided against all infrastructure to ensure proficient stability and uptime
- Certifications (including but not limited to MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CISM)
- Degree/Diploma in a relevant field will be an advantage
