Eurofins DQCI - where expertise meets excellence.Job DescriptionDo you have a keen interest in gaining hands-on experience in technical writing, coupled with a curiosity for working in a dynamic lab environment? We are currently seeking a Junior or Senior in college studying Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field who is after an opportunity to dive into the world of quality assurance and technical documentation while working alongside industry experts.As an intern with us, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), refining technical reports, and delving into quality management processes; you'll be encouraged to ask questions, explore new methodologies, and contribute your unique perspective to our team. With exposure to our lab environment, you'll gain invaluable insights into real-world applications of your technical writing skills.But that's not all - we're invested in your future. This internship isn't a temporary gig; it's a stepping stone to a potential full-time, permanent role with us. We're committed to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for career advancement.
  • Work closely with the hiring manager to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
  • Maintain open communication with team members and attend occasional on-site meetings for touch bases and huddles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy in documentation to create comprehensive and user-friendly SOPs, technical reports, and other technical documents.
  • Review existing SOPs, technical report methods, and new methods for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Perform slight data analysis to support technical documentation and report writing.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, demonstrating flexibility in workload management.
  • Continuously improve documentation processes and templates to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Keeping updated on industry standards and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
QualificationsEducational/Experience Background:
  • A current student (preferably a Junior or Senior) studying Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, and Biotechnology.
  • High School Degree is a must.

  • Hours: 20-25 hours per week, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of remote work with the opportunity for growth and professional development.
  • Work Style: While the work isn't structured in a traditional sense, you'll be given assignments and expected to follow through with direction from our experienced team.
  • Start Date: As early as this summer, allowing you to work through until your graduation; at which point we'll evaluate the potential for full-time employment.

  • Interview Process: Be prepared to provide a writing sample, whether it's a lab formulation, technical writing piece, or similar, as part of the initial conversation with our Talent Acquisition Manager.
