- Set the overall sales vision and direction for the organization, primarily focusing on the B2C market
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team to exceed sales objectives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall goals to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Develop and manage sales budgets and resources.
- Report on sales activities and progress towards goals, providing insights and solutions to the executive committee (EXCO).
- Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to shape company strategy.
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Identify and acquire new market opportunities.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation within the sales team.
- Collaborate with marketing to identify and exploit market opportunities.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of the sales team.
- Initiate and nurture relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and business partners.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in the renewable energy industry and within a B2C environment.
- Proven track record of driving significant sales growth and exceeding targets.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- High degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of the South African solar energy market and broader energy landscape.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
- R50 000 – R80 000 per month.
