CROP ADVISOR – FM1768 - WellingtonFull job descriptionWellington/Paarl Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for a Crop Advisor to join the team.The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting current customers as well as potential customers and give technical advice, in order to optimally increase the sales of the operating points and ensure profitability.Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBSc Agric or similar qualification with more than 5 years relevant experienceBoth BASOS and AVCASAcourse will be an assetValid driver’s licenseSKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIREDIn depth knowledge regarding the sales of Agricultural Chemicals and Fertilizer products.Good knowledge of table and wine grapes, stone fruits, citrus and small grains will count in the candidate’s favour.Provide technical services and knowledge to producersComputer literacy with basic skills in MS Office software programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Facilitation, report writing, and presentation skills will count in the applicant’s favourThe incumbent must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.The ideal would be that the person is able to prove his creditworthiness among producers and have a proven record in relation to integrity, results and service.A positive attitude in the interaction with people at all levels must be able to be portrayed.
