- Purchasing:
- Develop and implement systems for inventory monitoring and control.
- Place timely orders to maintain inventory levels and prevent delays in production.
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractors’ performance.
- Control raw material expenditures within budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate closely with the procurement department to address shortages or delivery delays.
- Receiving:
- Supervise and verify the accuracy and quality of all incoming deliveries.
- Record and maintain consignment products in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and processing of Proof of Delivery (POD) for invoicing.
- Warehousing and Despatch:
- Conduct regular meetings with relevant departments to coordinate inventory management.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent delays in service.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, particularly regarding flammable materials.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Manage obsolete or redundant stock according to company policies.
- Plan for the disposal or redistribution of surplus stock.
- Conduct monthly fiscal stock takes and ensure accurate rotation of inventory.
- Laboratory Assistance:
- Participate in accurate testing and reporting of raw materials.
- Enforce Good Laboratory Practices and safety protocols.
- Document non-conformance reports for materials or products failing to meet standards.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Implement and uphold organizational health and safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Ensure personnel are trained in handling hazardous substances and up-to-date with relevant certifications.
- Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain property, facilities, and vehicles.
- Make recommendations for repairs, replacements, or additions as needed.
- Reporting/Meetings:
- Submit operational reports to the Branch Manager as required.
- Conduct daily meetings to manage raw material inventory and meet production demands.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on departmental goals, employee performance, and plans for the following month.
- Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.
- Uphold company policies and procedures diligently.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in logistics, operations management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Certification in health and safety protocols or relevant areas is advantageous.
