Senior Quantity Surveyor

- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow projections for construction projects
- Oversee all quantity surveying aspects, including measurement, valuation, and billing
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers for accurate and timely cost reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and industry standards
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors
- Manage subcontractor appointments
- Conduct monthly valuations, including work measurement
- Generate subcontractor monthly payment certificates
- Administer fortnightly payment certificates for labour-only subcontractors
- Price Variation Orders (VO's)
- Produce monthly cost reports
- Collaborate closely with the bookkeeper, contracts managers, and site managers
- Maintain regular communication with client Quantity Surveyors
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a senior role
- Extensive experience in both residential and commercial projects
- In-depth knowledge of cost management and quantity surveying principles
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in cost management software
- Full IT literacy with advanced proficiency in Excel and CCS (Candy)
