- Deliver, either independently or as a member of a team, Control Risks’ consultancy services to clients by developing innovative solutions to complex security related risks. You will be responsible for scoping, managing, delivering and/or supporting projects across a broad range of security and crisis management domains including activities such as risk workshops, corporate security maturity assessments, gap analyses, program and organizational design, program/policy/plan development and implementation, training and exercises, and physical security design and reviews, among other areas.
- Work with client stakeholder teams to ensure that business priorities are represented in our security solutions.
- Actively lead on entire project lifecycle from first client enquiry to proposal development, project management, resource planning and tasking, financial management, quality assurance and project closure.
- Developing proposals for future client work.
- Project scoping and planning, to support pricing of client work.
- Contributing to and building complex, multi-service line proposals.
- Continuously enhance client relationships through excellent delivery of projects, wherever possible in close cooperation with the various other departments in Control Risks.
- Proactively seek opportunities to develop projects and business, including by cultivating long-term relationships with clients.
- Contribute to marketing through public speaking engagements, the authoring of thought leadership pieces and development of marketing materials.
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience in global security, risk intelligence, and/or crisis management in a corporate or “in-house” setting or a risk management consulting role.
- Experience managing projects and project teams
- Familiarity with corporate security, risk management, and crisis management industry best practices.
- Ability to successfully deliver quality solutions including written products and oral delivery of presentations and training.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and on short notice
- A large degree of flexibility with regards to work schedule and peaks in work intensity
- Exceptional interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent report writing, presentation, project management, time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to multi-task and balance competing requirements while maintaining attention to detail and quality of written work
- Critical and analytical problem-solving skills; innovative and willing to join a creative and dynamic working environment
- Confident, solution-oriented and with a positive attitude
