With a focus on building hyperlocal products, the Map Operations team was formed to spearhead local map data insights which translated into hyperlocal customer experiences. As Geo continues to power the Grab SuperApp, the Map Operations team strives to become the foundation for core mapping capabilities and insights.Over the past years, Grab has been growing into one of the most reliable transportation services in Southeast Asia. The higher demand for different services resulted in the establishment of a Map Operations team. The Map Operations is the core team of building our hyperlocal maps - collectively working on the collection & maintenance of POIs, map data and related map requests from local teams to ensure seamless point-to-point booking experience and support both country and regional team's project rollouts. We require top talent that can bring expertise to the Team and partner with Grab at this time. The Map Ops Specialist is an integral team member of the GEO tech family responsible for improving the map data by working closely with product and engineering teams. You will be supporting the local & regional mapping initiatives to provide a seamless experience to our customers.The Day-to-Day Activities

Collecting data using proprietary software & internal tools
Monitoring, analyzing & grading large sets of geo data regular validation
Perform regular quality checks, translation & transcription where applicable
Coordinate with cross-functional & local transport teams to drive projects
Conduct training locally & regionally as needed
Support the team leader/manager in data analysis and reports
Generate ideas and plan to implement the projects, monitor to ensure project requirements and quality standards at met
Collaborate to develop, testing and monitor products, work with regional stakeholders to resolve issues and drive roll-out process
To adhere to Grab confidentiality procedures & policies when collecting, storing, and sharing data.

The Must-Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Geography, or equivalent.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Proficient in QGIS, basic SQL, and Python with advanced Excel skills.
01 years of data processing experience in a fast-paced environment performing geospatial analysis and automation processes.
Strong project management, cross-department communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Ability to articulate problems and obtain buy-ins from different teams
Passionate about maps with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and understands how maps influence the product & customer experience.
Self-driven and highly motivated individual who can drive continuous project improvement
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Knowledge of open data sources like OpenStreetMap is an advantage
Willing to travel locally & regionally as needed.
