Phoebe Ministries is hiring a Per Diem Chaplain to join our long-term care facility in Wernersville, PA. Responsibilities for a Chaplain with Phoebe Berks:
The staff chaplain is responsible for coordinating and conducting various religious activities and providing for the spiritual needs of the residents and their families. Provides pastoral care to Phoebe Berks staff. Provides mentorship to CPE students and is responsible for volunteer development and community networking. Gives leadership to all aspects of pastoral care at Phoebe Berks. Supervises pastoral care staff and volunteers. Works collaboratively with other departments. Understands the differences in resident needs based on diverse services offered on the Berks campus, such as Independent Living, Personal Care, and Healthcare Center, and developing appropriate programs for each setting.Requirements for a Chaplain with Phoebe Berks:
- Master of Divinity or related degree
- Ordained for ministry and in good standing with one’s faith group/denomination; endorsed for chaplaincy by one’s faith group/denomination
- At least three years’ experience in a pastoral ministry setting, and four units of CPE.
- Eligible for board certification by Association of Professional Chaplains/APC, National Association of Catholic Chaplains/NACC, or moving toward this goal.
