The mission of the initiative is to expand the reach and access of Pennington Biomedical childhood obesity prevention and treatment research evidence. Team members are responsible for working across center scientists, lab teams, and leadership within Greaux Healthy (GH) and across Pennington Biomedical (PB). Team members are responsible for the development, implementation, and management of various projects including the development of high-quality consumer products that have the potential for commercialization.The Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in shaping the narrative and public identity of the Greaux Healthy brand, ensuring audience- and product-appropriate tone, voice, and style across all social media platforms. This position will support the development of Greaux Healthy’s social media platforms while also being responsible for maintaining them. This may include, but may not be limited to, social media calendars and scheduling of posts, creation of organic and paid social media campaigns, interaction with social media audiences, creating events, and updating bios and profile photos.Major ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Greaux Healthy social media profiles.Manage and develop social media initiatives for Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and other platforms as needed.Identify and cultivate relationships with potential creators and influencers to explore collaboration opportunities.Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences for each social account.Design and implement social media strategy to align with goals, including implementing and/or adapting as needed social media strategies developed by third-party vendors.Create, execute, and manage paid social media campaigns.Provide recurring reporting and analysis for both paid and organic social media.Develop and maintain platform and audience specific social media calendars.Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, graphics, videos, resources, and news).Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.Minimum of 2 years of social media experience.Experience with photo/video design programs, and familiarity with social media tools.Working knowledge of all major social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok)Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.3 - 5 years of social media experience.Proven work experience in social media management.Proven work experience in social media advertising.Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other design tools.Pennington Biomedical Research Center (PBRC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and serves as a model employer for individuals with disabilities.Additional Job Description:Portfolio samples may be attached to the online application.Competencies: NoneSpecial Instructions: Interested candidates should include a cover letter, a resume, and a list of three (3) professional references to the online application.
