Period.Position : Senior Seta Quality EngineerLocation: Huntsville, ALSchedule: Full-Time / ExemptPosition DescriptionGray Analytics is seeking a candidate that will provide Quality Engineering SME support to the Program Executive Office (PEO) Missile and Space (M&S) Integrated Fires & Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office's Performance Management Directorate. This position is responsible for providing leadership, senior level guidance, technical expertise, and support in the functional areas of Quality Engineering necessary to ensure that FMS IBCS systems and components fulfill requirements and standards. The candidate Quality Engineer activities will include:Basic Qualifications:· Developing and implementing quality strategies and plans· Developing quality requirements for associated contract/SOWs· Supporting component and system level qualification activities as necessary to ensure non-conformance/failures are identified.· Ensuring proper Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) activities via a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) are performed on identified non-conformance/failures· Providing recommendations to mitigate risk and eliminate potential failure modes by supporting Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Material Review Boards (MRBs)· Supporting Production/Pilot Line Validation activities· Supporting Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs)· Supporting First Article Inspections (FAIs)· Supporting Acceptance Test activities· Supporting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) and Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs)· Supporting Materiel Release and Safety Release activities· Evaluating Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and waivers/deviations for their impact on product integrity· Evaluating design efforts to ensure appropriate quality, environmental and performance issues are considered· Reviewing Contract Deliverable Requirement Lists (CDRLs) for Quality, Reliability, Production, etc.· Developing and providing briefings to senior leadership on Quality related issues· Mentoring and providing recommendations to other Quality Engineers.· Candidate must be a US citizen.· While primary responsibilities are located in Huntsville, AL, candidate may be required to travel to various manufacturing or test sites to perform the same functions at the primary location.· A bachelor's degree (or Master's) in an Engineering discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience is required.Other Qualifications:
  • Experience with Air and Missile Defense in the Quality Engineering domain is a plus
  • Candidate must be experienced with Microsoft Office products.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of systems engineering methodology and techniques.
  • Candidate must be able to think independently and be self-motivated, with proven organizational skills, ability to multi-task and support varied assignments.
  • Good communication skills are important, with a positive and friendly demeanor.
Security Requirements:
  • Candidate must have a Secret security clearance.
