- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including engine tuning, suspension adjustments, and bodywork repairs.
- Conduct thorough pre-race inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Prepare racing vehicles for competition, including tire changes, fueling, and vehicle setup adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing timely solutions to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Operate and maintain a fleet of transport vehicles, including trucks and trailers, ensuring they are clean, organized, and compliant with all regulations.
- Safely transport racing vehicles, equipment, and supplies to race events, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Coordinate logistics for race events, including scheduling, route planning, and vehicle loading and unloading.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies for improving vehicle performance and race outcomes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Mechanic.
- Must have own tools with rolling toolbox.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems.
- Knowledge of racing vehicle components, systems, and setup principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work closely with drivers, engineers, and other team members.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and travel to race events.
- Must be able to travel in and out of state up to 30% of the time.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Mechanic experience in a professional racing environment.
- Alternative fuels experience (propane, etc.). Will provide training if necessary.
- ASE or State certifications.
- Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.
