As the Assistant Project Manager, you'll collaborate closely with the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager to oversee the full spectrum of commercial construction projects, from initiation to completion. Your role will involve supporting various project management tasks to ensure projects are delivered successfully, meeting all quality, budget, and schedule requirements.Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in ensuring projects adhere to design, budget, and schedule parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and project standards and procedures.
  • Aid in preparing scopes of work and negotiating contracts.
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare change proposals and manage change orders.
  • Assist in soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project schedules and cost estimates.
  • Participate in various project meetings and document discussions.
  • Assist in preparing owner pay applications, change order requests, and claims.
  • Help maintain subcontractor pay requisitions and project logs.
  • Support monthly profitability and Work in Place forecasts.
  • Maintain knowledge of project documents and generate closeout documents.
  • Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Keep Project Manager informed of project issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervising personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Science preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Commercial Construction Industry.
  • Experience in multi-family construction is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Willingness to travel to out-of-town projects.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and company values.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Work may occur in office or field settings, requiring physical agility.
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions and moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
