- The Territory Sales Rep (TSR) is responsible for the enhancement and implementation of the Company Core Business Strategy as it relates to the Sales Centers this position is supporting.
- The TSR sells residential/commercial products for distributor to contractors, homeowners, and wholesalers at sales office, store, showroom, or customer's place of business by performing the following duties.
- Reports to Regional Sales Director.
- Position is located in the territory of responsibility and will be covering XYZ.
- There is no relocation dollars available for this position.
- The TSR will work independent of the Sales Center, but in concert with their needs and report to the Regional Sales Directors.
- The TSR will have a defined market and be responsible for high frequency calling (14-18 calls per week).
- Each TSR will be responsible for managing approximately 100 accounts (or more) and produce incremental sales volume of a determined amount by the location they will be serving.
- Calls on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential builders.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective residential / commercial customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
- Displays or demonstrates residential/commercial products, using samples and/or brochures, and emphasizes selling features.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for residential/commercial orders obtained.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Builds relationship with clients.
- Performs light duty residential / commercial service and deliveries.
- Represent Wayne Dalton in a professional manner.
- Assist in collecting monies due to Wayne-Dalton from customers who have exceeded their credit terms.
- Check the residential/commercial jobs scheduled to be installed prior to the installation date.
- Participate in Trade and Home shows.
- Minimum of 14 sales visits per week.
- Call reports due the Monday am following the last week.
- Itineraries due the Monday am of the week of travel.
- Monthly reports, including target lists, due the first Friday of the month.
- Start-up accounts - Weekly contact for first month, bi-weekly for second month, monthly for rest of year.
- Select two accounts to grow to over $300K.
- Integrate the commercial stocking program into all Sales Centers.
- Promote the monthly promo's that are being offered at the Sales Centers.
- Make sure those monthly promos are being offered to dealers through the Sales Centers.
- Entry level sales position who is an energetic, self-starter.
- A professional able to grasp technical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and orally, along with the ability to learn presentation skills demonstrating our brand to persons and groups.
- An organized individual with good listening skills.
- Computer order entry skills, as well Microsoft Suite strength.
- Understands Channel distribution philosophies and able to sell multiple product lines.
- Solid time management skills with continuing adherence to efficiencies and productivity.
- A positive individual who is extremely professional with high integrity and strong work ethics, with the ability to give and receive respect.
