$51.72/HourShift Details: 7:00AM - 7:00PMEXPERIENCE1 year Emergency Department in a Level 1 or or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility only; this must be indicated on the resumeUnit: We are a level one trauma, Stroke, STEMI center and regional burn centerCERTIFICATIONSBLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCCDESCRIPTION:Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Emergency Department in a Level 1 or or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility only; this must be indicated on the resume. This is a busy urban trauma center.
Preferred Skillset/Experience: trauma/peds, 200+patients/day, high acuity experience preferredUtilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Client Service StandardsOverview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Client Code of Conduct, Client Mission and Values and Client Service Standards.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility.Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
